What I Was Up To This Past Week?

I'm sure you're wondering what I was up to this past week since I promised in my last post that I would have at least 3 blog posts per week. But it seems like I had not fulfilled my promise. I'm sorry about that but I will reveal it here what got me busy and captured my full attention.

After I received my last salary from my day job, I decided to spend some of it to buy inspirational, motivational, self-help, personal development and business books from people who sell those at bargain prices. I browse for books that caught my interest and thought that would really help and benefit me. Instead of going to malls and purchase equivalent books at higher and expensive prices, I took time and effort to look for it first in OLX, a Philippines' Buy and Sell website.

The way I get/buy things from a seller is either through meetups or shipping the ordered item to our house or office. As for the selling (if you don't ask, I sell some of my stuff too just to earn extra money on the side), I only allow meeting them (buyers) up personally. Of course, I choose a safe and secured places like malls, MRT/LRT stations, and areas near in my workplace.

I don't know but sometimes, I feel being someone who wastes or spends a huge money into acquiring those kinds of books. But I just tell to myself that it's for my own good for as long as I read them one at a time, and apply what I think is best to be successful. Also, I firmly believe in this quotation, "If you think education is expensive, try ignorance". There is nothing riskier than doing things you don't actually know in the first place.

Another thing that would give you a timeless advice is this, "Never invest in something that you do not understand, no matter how profitable it may be" which I heard from Chinkee Tan, one of a well-known wealth and life coaches here in the Philippines.

I do believe in continuous learning and educating ourselves as a first step in achieving what we want in life. However, the second important thing that we and everyone should do is applying what we learned from books (we read) into our lives and real world on which we are living.

Final words I have for you is don't waste your time fiddling around and idling. Meaning doing unproductive things and letting each day pass by. Find ways to utilize your time wisely so you improve yourself and attain your goals in life. Surround yourself with like-minded people so you'll get influenced by their enthusiasm and positivity in life.

That's it! I hope you now understand what pull my time from this blog, haha!

Thanks for reading.

Avoid Sticking To Unproductive People

Actually, this stuff I am about to share can be good or bad. It depends on where you get influence from. If the influence can help you achieve your goals, then that is good and vice versa if it can only lead you to misfortune. Anyway, I would like to put here the paragraph I read somewhere. I hope it makes sense to you. Avoid sticking to people who have hobbies of collecting stuff which are too much expensive. In the end, you'll be like them through the influence or the process.

Did You Start Your 52-Week Money Challenge?

Early of this year (January 2017) , I stumbled upon this weird challenge, the 52-week money challenge . The first time I got introduced to it, I became confused because I couldn't understand how it worked. Anyway, the idea of saving money from your salary or business weekly is a good idea but the challenge is you will add the original amount of money to the previous week's money every week.
