Make Your Domain Name Live On The Internet

This post will discuss how to make your purchased domain name live and active on the web using only your existing or new blog in

I decided to try it this way coz I wanna see if this method would work. If it became successful, I would personally inform you and try my luck in getting a web host on my own.

I am using a free space from Blogspot right now (or Google’s Blogger) to host this site. And you know what, it is free! But if you want to get a full control over your website (such as tweaking your files, uploading audios, videos and others), you must consider self-hosted or buying a web hosting.

Anyway, here are steps which I used to make this site active and live on the internet. Please bear with me if my grammar is not perfect.

  • Click this link: How do I use a custom domain name for my blog?
  • Choose ‘On a top-level domain (’ as answer for the question ‘Where would you like to host your blog?’
  • Follow the instructions written there. When you’re done, go back to this post.

While following all these instructions, I recommend you to check ‘Redirect [your domain].com to www.[your domain].com

For example for this blog: is the same as Because of this, whenever someone tries to access my domain without www, they will still see my site. That is a good feature!

Anyway, I know you are excited to see your site live and active on the internet but it takes time. It might take up to 24 hours for the site to use your purchased domain.

I think everything published was very reasonable. But, think about this,
suppose you composed a catchier title? I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your website,
however what if you added something that makes people want more?
I mean "How To Make Your Purchased Domain Name Active And Live On The Internet?" is kinda vanilla.

You might glance at Yahoo's front page and watch how they create article headlines
to get viewers to click. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to grab people excited about
what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it might make
    your website a little livelier.
